you and i have come a long long way
travelled a lot of back roads and highways
we've seen the best and worst there is to see
and thru it all you've meant so much to me

the up's and downs of life can leave you blue
sometimes you feel theres nothin you can do
but it helps if you can share it with a friend
and to know they'll be there with you
until the journeys end

until the journeys end
you can count on me
you're in my heart and soul
your love has set me free
as long as you still want me
and need me as a friend
i will be by your side forever
until the journeys end....

long walks along the beaches
warm nights in malibu
sunrises over the horizons
wrapped in a blanket with you
sunday morning sleep-ins
breakfast in the afternoon
late night porch swings
conversations with the moon

taking drives with the top down
the radio signals come and go
passing thru the heartland
white puffy clouds hanging low
on days like this i know for sure
just how blessed my life has been
having you here beside me
until the journeys end...

i can't let you go - i'm sure you know
you hold the key (to my heart)
where i end - you start
connected by love sent from above
we're a circle my friend and circles don't end....

when the days grow shorter
and the nights get colder
and that mountain is too hard to climb
don't be afraid - don't be afraid
every heart runs out of time

but if you hold my hand - if you understand
that only love is timeless and true
then you won't walk alone into the unknown
cos i made a promise to you.......
