Untitled Poem by Rik Bertrand

Untitled

I sit here and wonder about myself, and what is my purpose.
I wish i knew what life was about, and what is meant for all of us.
I Cry inside at night in darkness, no clue to my existence.
I look for a reason for life, can you tell me my essence.

And life passes by me, and time tells the tale of my soul.
Cry for me when i am gone, the tears, you must let flow.
Feel free to let it out, and tell them what you know.
Childhood not remembered, is there a story to be told.

Bitter sweetness in the air, as my life, i shall unfold.
and shall i dare to care, or let my life run cold.

A starving child sits in the sands of hell, we sit at a table.
feast on your happiness, cry a tear of sadness if your able.
can you help the helpless, as they crawl through their time.
Oh, please help me little rich man, can you spare a dime.

Death and aunguish calls, disaster strikes and we see it all.
Persistance of natures walls, as yet another nation falls.
Is life all dispair and destruction? , is there love left today?
should we start with new construction, or learn a better way?

Tell me do you have a notion of what you are all about?
is there love in your heart, do you have a doubt?
take a walk with me through life and see wha we will see,
take time for yourself, show the world, be what you want to be.

Carry yourself proud and take care of your friends
love and be kind, as this world of ours decends.

Defending peace and freedom, soldiers pay the price.
lets not forget them when they roll the dice.
God looks down upon us and carries are souls in hand,
and release them slowly upon these spoiled lands.

be cool, stay calm, and please look into your heart,
take time to love and be loved, so you dont fall apart.
begin again and end the old, forget the wasteful past,
antoher lifes story told, and we hope that its the last.

Be quick with your thoughts, and speak with you mind,
tell the world of love, we have so little time.
I thank you for your paitence and i thank you for your love,
and the angels will keep an eye on you from far, far above.

I go now, peace be with life,
and remember me on a summer day, or when it raining at night.
Take care, be good and never say the your sorry.
If you love a little better, you'll never have a worry.

(signs of the times, thoughts to think about, ramblings of an old wise man, me)
