Upon Reading An Australian Aboriginal Proverb Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Upon Reading An Australian Aboriginal Proverb

'We are all visitors
to this time, this place.
We are just passing

through.

Our purpose
here is to observe,
to learn, to grow,

to love…

and then
we return
home.'

- Australian Aboriginal Proverb

Strange how
I have lived this
for a long time

now

and yes
I am returning
home versed

in a multiplicity

of foreign
experiences forged
in lives hearts

emotions touched

I have lived
ethnic diversity
reflected upon

acts of kindness

injustice intolerance
and know all people
of true religious belief

principles

sow acts
of compassion
grace

understanding
forgiveness
beautified love

thank you
for the blessing
of your kind

thoughts my friend
