Vegetarian Poem by Adeline Morris

Vegetarian

'You don't eat meat?
That's stupid. Why would you
do that to yourself? '

Are we so judgmental
over every contrast existing?

And we sit in shock as we view
how high the suicide rate is
during the holiday season.

He celebrates Hanukkah.
She celebrates Kwanzaa.
They celebrate nothing at all.
And suddenly this makes them bad people.

But, of course, Christmas time
means world-wide joy.

Do you really have feelings for Jesus Christ?
Something tells me that you're only
in it for the new DVD player.
