Waiting For Love Poem by Amy Gaunt

Waiting For Love

Longing tears me up inside
The memory of your touch fades away against a tide
And if I could have, just one more night, I’d kiss away my pride
For you, for me, for everything that we could be

Connection shocked me to the core
If your heart was a fight then I’d play the war
Looking into your eyes ill always need you more
For us, I must, grab this chance at love

And so ill wait, and pray you come back to me
And once again ill feel your electricity

I’d run through a fire so I could kiss your lips
Move a mountain or pause time
I’d cross a river to capture your heart
Catch a falling star to call you mine

I’d jump over oceans just to hold your hand
I’m listening whenever you call
There’s thousands of miles between us and still I believe
Our love, can conquer it all

Very moving and expressive write. If you truly love someone then your love inside you will never let you down. A moving write.
