Walk Each Other Home Poem by Randy McClave

Walk Each Other Home

When I leave this world behind
Remember this, I was kind,
When someone needed help I was there
For all I truly did care.
To no one did I ever lie or cheat
And never did I ever cause deceit,
And of no-one was I ever ashamed of
As I believe in God, and love.
I've always showed up and gave second chances
No matter of the event or the circumstances,
While some say never turn the other cheek
Remember, it makes the soul strong, and not weak.
I have always remembered to extend grace
No matter the color or the condition of the face,
A person never fails horribly
If they will always remember to love unselfishly.
Never will I be known for blindness
I want to be remembered only for my kindness,
Unto God our hearts are already known
Remember, we're all just walking each other home.
