the part of us
that wants to pray
in the heated hour
of our darkest night...
is our heart calling
out to our soul!
if our ego be the disease,
then it is in our naked self
that we find the cure!
we cry out to a god,
so close, hidden in plain sight!
beneath our sweat,
and within our very breath!
