War Of Love Poem by Feyisayo Anjorin

War Of Love

Rating: 5.0

He sets your eyes on visions, like smoke in the wind.
He made you long for poisons with the passion of an honourable wish,
He calls you with siren voices, you hoped a snake would be a fish.

You walked in the shadows of death, you listened to the voice that leads the wind,
You fired arrows at your health, you set to fly on wounded wings.
You are sure of your dreams of beauty, certainty like your mirror's image.
You live in the dark like the guilty, you bear the burdens of your lineage.

You know the words of irrefutable conclusions, he knows the words rooted in the depths,
You tried hard to make a piece without confusion, he slithers like a snake in the shadows of death.
He drives you like a docile breed, he plans to bring you pain.
He is ugliness with the appeal of greed, he makes you work too hard for the vain.

You were enraptured by his gaze, his words shaped your heart.
You long for distant days, you longed for poisoned darts,
He would not stop for storms or stinging words, he would plot his grandest schemes.
You are strengthened to break evil cords, you are made to beat his most excellent skills.
