We Are Earth Poem by Brendon Langeveldt

We Are Earth

Rating: 5.0

Fierce is the fire that burns in my heart
and deep is the water that runs within.
My heart has adapted and has become one
with earth so I feel like I'm natures son.

When I breath I can feel the wind through my teeth,
when I walk I become one with the ground underneath.
When earth cries the pain course through my veigns,
and my tears keep rolling every time it rains.

Whenever you cut down a tree,
or kill creatures in the sea.
What you're really doing is
breaking down parts of me.

As you're polluting the earth,
the place of our birth.
Your slowly decreasing
your own soul's worth.

Not only is the earth a part of me,
its also a part of you.
You're destroying yourself,
by doing what you do.

Can you stop hurting the earth and me?
You're destroying our future family.
Coz earth is us and
we are earth...

From earth we have come and
to earth we shall return.
