We Cannot Forget The Horror Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

We Cannot Forget The Horror

Looking back through pages of this mind, remembering
all those whose lives were stolen from them in this
terrorist attack.

It has been years now, and still we cannot forget the
horror, the twin towers imploding and killing so very
many innocent people.

People who had never done anything at all to deserve
being killed in this horrendous manner, children with
no mothers or fathers, parents without their sons and
daughters.

Never to see them again in this life, all of them are
heroes, joined with the firefighters, police and every
day people who ran towards the chaos instead of running
away - they are the real heroes!
