We Conquered Poem by Benson Don

We Conquered

They say, "no pain no gain". No dispute.
We gave our best, that was our input.

It began in a flash, I mean the journey.
Down the road, the huddles weren't funny.

Then the say again,
"better is the end of a thing than the beginning".
It kept us going even when the road seemed unending.
All we had were hopes and aspirations,
And just one certainty, one certainty
And it's the fact that, he who called us
Will never leave us even till eternity.

Here we are today,
All those are now history, figment of the memory,
Now meant to be told only.
And that is because
We came, we saw and we conquered.
