We look to you Haiti with tears in our eyes.
The devastation so bleak, and the painful cries
With our technology we see it and cannot believe
What more can we do but watch it on TV
We're moved with emotion as each day unfolds
Stories of heroes, and human suffering are told
All the world wants to help, but it's so hard to do
With no power, clean water, shelter and food
With a heart that is heavy, we watch and we wait
Our loved ones were there on mission that day
May God send down his spirit, and comfort our pain
And unite all his people, in his holy name.
We look to you Haiti with hope in our heart
We'll all work together, and help you make a new start
All the world unites for Haiti, may it strengthen our faith
And unite all God's people in his holy name.
...my thoughts penned this morning.....praying for my father-in-law and his friend who have done missionary work in Haiti for 30 years. They are still missing.

Thank you so much for writing this poem on Haiti, especially recalling the great tragedy because of tsunami. Sorry to hear the loss of your loved ones but then your heart will forever be touched to hear and do something for that land as your beloved had given their time and love for that country. Take care, this a very beatiful piece. I think I should retrieve that poem I wrote on Haiti, just few days after that great tragedy. I will soon post it for you.
I felt your humanity in every line of every verse in this poem. It's such a generous and loving poem. Sorry about your father-in-law & his friend. I bet God is taking care of them somewhere as they enjoy their reward for their 30 years of selflessness.
