Weight Of My Decisions Poem by Julie Neises

Weight Of My Decisions

Rating: 5.0

Birds sing mock happiness
as I pull my load.
Following this winding path
not knowing where it goes.

My friends had all abandoned me
when I chose this gruesome fate.
My only companion is Lust,
following my load and adding weight.

My lies visit occasionally
bringing cold and lonely nights.
Rarely do I ever see
bright skies of blue and white.

Forbidden love has left me now
taking with it a part of my heart.
It came up out of nowhere
with harsh words to add to my cart.

Enebriated guilt makes me run
when I am to blame.
Pulling my heart
down the path of unending shame.

You want a title for this poem? May I suggest for ' Uncertainty '. I think this is a good title for your nice poem. Best Regards, Ency Bearis
