Well Behaved Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Well Behaved

We faced disaster
Long years after
The Kashmir valley witnessed
The heavy rainfall was never faced

It was really down pour
With relentless shower
Complete valley was submerged
As rivers flooded

Whole of the city remained under water
The scene was altered
Many were forced to confine
Others were trapped behind

No access to far off villages
No one could manage
Thousands were washed away
Army was out in its way

Ration could be spared
From their quota and shared
Many hungry could be fed
The expedition for human rescue was lead

The stones were still pelted
The Army was still hated
Still millions could be saved
As the uniform men well behved
