What A Mother Poem by Kate Lechoe

What A Mother

Rating: 4.3

The sleepless nights,
Of soothing her little angel
Not bothered by the length of night.
The only important thing is to maintain
The smile that lures many to smile too,
What a mother!

Any woman can be a mother,
But the daring ones,
The caring ones,
The industrious ones,
The spirited ones,
The ones with big hearts,
And those with other rarely found qualities,
Are worth the additional title “MUM”,
What a mum!

She is always all ears,
Listening to all, whether great or inferior ideas
For she knows the abilities of each,
And the weaknesses she notices by a glance.
Nothing passes her keen eyes unnoticed
No matter how well you try to hide.
She has more than we can imagine,
This mother!

Her unconditional love,
Which each wants it all alone!
The patient love,
The love that forgives,
The perseverance in her love,
The love which is faithful,
The love that insists in good deeds,
That loving mother!

The Almighty endowed her
With mighty and humane qualities,
Her presence thus commands respect,
Her speech is worth listening to,
Her correction is meant to teach,
Her advice lights up dark paths
And her beauty shows Almighty’s skills.
These form my complete mother,
My mum.
