I Should Just Leave Poem by Kate Lechoe

I Should Just Leave

Rating: 5.0

Maybe our meeting wasn’t meant to produce this.
I think we were just supposed to say ‘hello’ and depart,
Never to keep on seeing each other frequently.
Because each day I get to know you better,
I get sad, annoyed and disappointed.
I keep on thinking on the best way to leave.

At first, I feared that I made a mistake,
But so far, my fears have been confirmed.
What is bringing us together each day isn’t love,
It is something else, very temporary.
I can’t take it anymore,
The solution is just to leave you.

I should leave you in order to be happy,
Yes I should leave.
I better leave indeed.
