What A World Poem by Adeola Babalola

What A World

In this world,
the dream of the past
hunting the present
trying to drawn the feotus
driving the ship of the future barren.

Where everything...strange.
The tune and melody unfamiliar
and the steps too allien!
And guess crept into silence and darkness.

For principle,
end of road!
Call it.

We need sounds
the sound of the wise.
We need the Calm of the desert
to get echo of wilderness.
And the direction of the waves
on the sea
in oder to know which way to go.

many interesting thoughts, especially needing the sound of the wise, with wisdom from the 'Calm of the desert/ to get echo of wilderness./ And the direction of the waves' The desert sentiment remains me of these lines I wrote back in 87 in the second stanza from 'Foundation Stone' Across lonely empty land can a man rise can he grow above deceit deceptive human insight? Would that I could withstand remain in cleansing desert for too numerous are snares. Set in devious parts of city lurking in blind alleyway. How few have strength will or reactions to avoid. sometimes wisdom is seasoned through contemplation in the wilderness. God speed on you journey. Terence
