What Becomes Of The Human In The End?

What becomes of the human being in the end?
I have seen so many
Who were once in the strength of their days
So able and powerful
Reduced to the need for help
In each small survival action
How hard it is to see such pain and humiliation
How troubling to fear I too will somehow
Be in such state one day
Which I try now to believe I will not.
