What If I Tell You... Poem by John Paul Ceron

What If I Tell You...

What if I tell you,
That I am not the person you know,
Of which good things I've shown
Are just a mere mask of my own?

What if I tell you,
That I am as bad as the evil queen,
Giving you happiness you wanted
But in return, taking your life for granted?

What if I tell you,
That the words you heard from me
Were just a script I was able to see
And used it intentionally?

What if I tell you,
That those actions will never be true
And I used it against you
To make life difficult to do?

What if I tell you,
That in reality I do not actually care
And I am so happy to see you be
When your down and not feeling well?

And what if I tell you,
That all I had said are all lies;
And that truly, I love thee,
Will you still believe me?
