What Is This Island Loneliness To Me? Poem by Mark Heathcote

What Is This Island Loneliness To Me?

Rating: 5.0

What is this loneliness to me?
Who was born lonelier?
Who was born lonelier than-I?
Lonelier than a bedtime story,
Never told because it to—
Would-only-be unbelievable folklore
Because it would only be a fairy tale
What is this island loneliness to me?
Who was lonelier born?
Who was lonelier born than-I?
Wishing my Indian rug,
Indeed could island hop indeed could fly.
