How do you ever know if it's true
They may say it over and over
But how do you know
Could it all just be a lie
Something they made up
I guess there's only one thing
You can ask yourself
Do I trust them
But then again
How do I know
What if it's all a game
Something they play just for kicks
They mess with your heart
And torture it repeatedly
Then they ask you not to say it
At least not very often
They say it hurts
When you say it
So it hurts you even more
And your not sure what to do
You become uncertain of everything
It's like everything you know is wrong
Your world is turned upside down
And they don't even care
They slowly kill you inside
So then you threaten to kill yourself
To save them the trouble
And they stop you
But then your not sure
If they are with you just so you don't hurt yourself
Or if they really care
They say I want to grow to love you
But I'm unsure of things right now
And you become scared to death
Millions of questions
Run through your head
What if they leave
How will I cope
What should I do
But in the end it's up to them
And all you can do
Is sit back and hang on tight
Cause it's going to be a bumpy ride
But in the end you still love them
And you want to be with them forever
But the thought of them leaving
Continues to creep up in your leaving
So hang on tight, ride it out
