What Will You Say Poem by Randy McClave

What Will You Say

Tomorrow is your last day
What will you say,
When you look towards God and the sky so starry
Will it be a, "Thank you", or "I'm sorry".
Will you remember all the gifts that God gave
Plus, how your soul he did save,
The great love that you had held and felt
And the many victories underneath your belt.
God was always there
When you spoke to him in a prayer,
And the pain and suffering he comforted you through
Will your final words be, "Thank You".
Maybe you'll speak, "I'm sorry" instead
As you remember the bad things that you had done and said,
The love he gave you, but that love you ignored
And shamefully you never followed God's accord.
The victories that he had gave you to win
But, instead you lost and then you decided on sin,
And the path that he wanted you to take
And his advice that you had decided to forsake.
"Thank you" or "I'm sorry" what will it be
As you prepare to enter your eternity,
What if tomorrow is your last day
What will you say.
