Whatever It Takes Poem by Laura Rodriguez

Whatever It Takes

I'll be leaving soon, my dear.
I'll do whatever it takes
to be with you again.
Our parents forbid us to see each other,
but that will break.
At night, when you are sleeping,
I will enter your room and hold you tight.

I'll be dying soon, my dear.
I'll to whatever it takes
to feel your touch.
I am so far away, you cannot touch me,
but that will change soon.
When dawn breaks the skies,
I will be next to you.

I'll do whatever it takes to be with you,
to make you safe,
to make you happy,
you are my life.
I'm nothing without you,
I have to be with you.
So I'll do whatever it takes...
