When you feel as though you're all alone
Your heart is feeling hollow
The pain starts to intensify
With each and every swallow

Then close your eyes and picture now
The soothing, golden sun
Bathing you in memories
Of times when life was fun

Hold yourself and hug your heart
Caress your inner being
Allow yourself to reminisce and
Feel the things you're seeing

Then close your eyes and picture now
A rainbow filled with hope
Lessening your sadness
While allowing you to cope

Then take a walk or hum a song
As slowly you renew
And know that time is on your side
And will come through for you

Now close your eyes and picture still
A gentle rain, so sweet
To cleanse you and revive you
As you get back on your feet

Dust yourself off willingly
And be your own best friend
Feel resolve from deep within
Till breaches start to mend

Indulge yourself until you've taken
All the time you need
To grieve or heal or energize
Until your soul is freed
