When Demons Attack Poem by Vision Ghost

When Demons Attack

Rating: 5.0

Are you running, can you not getaway from them?
Inside the soul, inside the heart, choking the phlegm
From the disgust of the maggots, rippling under skin
Can you hear their screaming, in nightmares so akin?

To the fear of their reprise, to always corner shadows
To pounce upon your passing, in such restless throes
Never your heart, that can’t rest for the demon attack
To break you in fury, and in hearing your sanity crack

Do they haunt you, with the tortured cries of children?
Forever reap their perversion, and leave nowhere to run
A dark shadow from eyes corner; the hands to grip you
And suffocate your reasoning, to turn finger nails blue

Tied to the torture chair, as the beetles crawl deep inside
As a slow needle penetrates your eye; agony, feel it slide
Did they make you watch, when they raped your wife?
Forever brandish memories, with such a lecherous strife

Sever the flesh from your neck, and let the body remain
Keeping you alive only to suffer, such an agonising pain
Removing your toes, with a cold steel crushing device
Forever slapping your face, to choose which nail to slice

Did they make you watch insects, crawl from finger tips?
As rats nibbled on forearm stumps, lapping in bloody sips
Chocking you on flies, in their repetitively stinging swarm
Slashing your face, and showing you the hideous deform

Could you feel the slithering, of worms inside your veins?
Their secretions so to be, the forever black of blood stains
Of all that is left before, they tear you apart again and again
Screams are punished, to which the agony you can’t refrain

Vomited upon your legs, revealing the maggots from inside
Separated from the ooze, made to swallow again to reside
Within your body they multiply, and grow to then evacuate
From you to spread their spawn, again for a host to captivate

That can never die and never be rid, of your torment in hell
Tightly closing your eyes, and praying for insanities spell
To offer some anaesthetics, to this horrifying assimilation
Of your soul, your spirit, your body, your own domination

Hmm... Very descriptive. Saddening in a way so, numbing? Who is this person you speak of? Why are they possesed? ...Where is the concern... 'Us' .: : .So maybe that’s why they scream. Because their hearts and flesh are battling each other, and both are afraid to lose. I know why, though. I feel it burning inside me, because I too have screamed, more than once. I know, but words cannot express. Maybe that goes for all of us. We just have to look into our hearts and figure it out for ourselves. And that easily explains why we cannot place into words the explanation for our desperate screams. It’s a lesson. A lesson in truth. A lesson in life. A lesson that the quiet whispers never drowned out, until they turned into something else. Something bigger. Something louder… And this I know to be true. The screams cannot block out what I already know, and though they may currently mute the truth, the truth has always proved to be louder…: : .: : .
