Where Are You? Poem by Edwina Reizer

Where Are You?

Where are you? I've been lookin' every place for you.
Can't help myself. It's like lookin' for a misplaced shoe.
Can't go walking in the sun without you,
never take a step without you.
Guess I'll have wait 'til I find your other shoe.

Where are you? Are you hangin' round with someone new?
Is that shoe that I can't find filling some else's mind.
I'm walking all around in the darkness without you.

I can't find your shoes. I can't find the news
that was supposed to be right outside my door.
Where did you go? I've searched high and low
But searching for you is like looking for that misplaced shoe.

Where are you? Don't you know that I am so darned blue?
I've checked under the bed and the closets where you always said.
Let's go walking in the sun together,
walking in the sun forever
But I guess I'll have to wait 'til I find your misplaced shoe.

REPEAT Verse 1 and end.
