Where Have All The Years Gone?
WHERE HAVE THE YEARS GONE?
Where have the years gone?
Nothing will remain.
I am an old man now.
All I know of my parents’ lives
All I know of so many of my relatives
It will be gone soon with my own going.
So much love, so much life
It will be gone
As if it never was.
No one will be able to remember.
And I did not tell it.
I did not tell it right.
I did not do them justice.
I failed.
