Who Is It That Played Upon The Strings Of My Heart? Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Who Is It That Played Upon The Strings Of My Heart?

Rating: 5.0

Is that you, who sent me the gifts
On a day when one cannot well refuse?
The heart-warming practice
Seems to cover, cover everything
Under beautiful winged clothes.

The roses and chocolates, together with
The sentimentally-written card,
They all smell so sweet, and heavenly,
So tender and soft they are,
Just like the romantic spring breeze.

I love the day, mainly because of love;
It's so precious for all the lonely hearts,
And so rare, for the loves in bud.

I don't know what was the occasion when this great poetess felt like this and wrote such a beautiful poem, but I feel like this on my birthdays, when all those who have forgotten me, are forced to remember me and show their immortal love for me through their lovely gifts.
