Who's Counting? Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Who's Counting?

A Five-a-day Man am I,
Or perhaps, three-a-day,
‘What’s that? ’ ~ you do ask.
‘Please explain’ ~ you do say.

‘Tis the number of poems
That on average I do write,
Sometimes by day,
Often by night.

Why am I counting?
What good will it do
To number those poems,
That I write for you?

Am I going for a record?
Does it matter to me,
How many poems,
That I’ll write for thee?

Suffice it to say,
The words when they flow,
Will become a new poem,
~ That’s all that I know.
