Why Can't A Girl Ask Out A Guy? Poem by Kathleen Cardinal Farnsworth

Why Can't A Girl Ask Out A Guy?

My stomach turns twice a day
and some people refer it to butterflies
once when you said hello
and once again
when you say good-bye
I save with in my heart
the love i wish to hold
I keep my feelings inside
they're better off untold
I stay up nights
thinking of you
If I should ever say
that for the very life of me
I think of you every day
I wonder with a question
that pops into my mind
I wonder if its true or not
I wonder if its love I'll find
but traditions have been broken
cause in time it sure shows
I think I'll give him a call
cause I think he ought to know
then I wonder
every once in a while
as i shed a tear to cry
If and when time was right
Why can't a girl ask out a guy?
