I stare at the stars and wonder where you are
I smell the rose you'd given me the summer before
As I do, I remember that together we are no more.

A single tear rolls down my cheek as I remember your face
I look up at the night sky and ponder why our love died
Do you still miss the sound of my voice?
Do you even remember the smell of my perfume?
Or is it all just an old anecdote to you?

I can't bear thought that our love was nothing but a joke to you.
