    Fifty three years ago
    I met a woman like
    the woman you describe.

    Fifty two years ago
    this woman became my bride,
    a wife.

    Fifty-one years ago
    this woman became
    the mother of our child.

    For more than fifty years
this woman has been my life,
    my day and night,

    beauty,
    cheerfulness,
    wisdom,

    tenderness,
    wisdom,
    common sense,

    patience,
    radiance,
    indeed, a heavenly light.

    For more than fifty years
    this woman,
    has been a delight,
    a blessing,
    my life. (Report) Reply

it was a truth and realistic poem, sir. though written in a simple tone it signifies a rather ignored theme.
nice write. one of your best. (Report) Reply

What a nice tribute! Our mother is our first example. She is like goddess Durga. How she manages all household works and her study together, when I think I get amazed.Nice poem. (Report) Reply

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
