Why When We See The Sea

WHY WHEN WE SEE THE SEA

Why when we see the sea
After a long absence
Do we so much want to live?

Why when we see a grey sea
In calm stretching
In the direction and distances
Do we think,

‘Somehow beyond us
And all we know
There is another life
In which God is good to us forever.'
