Will love come looking for me again....
Will it call me by my name?
If I'm laying under a blanket of dreams,
Will I feel the heat of its flame?
If I'm wearing the cloak of forbidden joy,
Will love still call out my name?
Be assured, my raiment will not be changed
Just because the world cries shame!
So, if someone's holding me in his arms,
Maybe someone who shouldn't be.......
Will love try to call my name out loud,
Or just pretend not to see
I'm so afraid the time won't be right,
But I've been waiting for so long;
I have to answer when love calls -
I'm determined - but I'm not that strong
But I'll light a candle and hold it high,
Its glow will reveal my face;
And I'll welcome love whenever it calls,
No matter the time nor the place
As a first time visitor to your site I was greatly impressed. This is a hauntingly poignant tale of unrequieted love. Imagery, flow and all things necessary combine in this touchingly beautiful write. This is a 10. Hope to visit you again
