We woke up to a world of snow
Everything came to a crawl
Layers of pristine blankets
It was quite unbelievable
For softly through the night
It fell for hours on end
There was a transformation
Of a solid arctic blend
We couldn’t move our cars
The children had to stay home
For school was swiftly cancelled
They were perfectly free to roam
Building projects stopped as well
Too difficult to continue
Instead folks sat in coffee shops
Searching hot drinks on the menu
Yes, it was a wonderful snowy world
And would only last for awhile
It’s a chance to stop and enjoy
Mother Nature’s winter style!
I just love snow; although the kind of snow described in here happens only very rarely around here (but when it does; we just enjoy it all the more!)
