Wishing For You Poem by Alexia Miles

Wishing the days would bring me you
I have no clue how long one must wait
It’s been too long now and I feel so lost
Please someone tell me when you will come
I am so ready and willing to love you at any cost,
I watch the waves on the ocean most days
I see waves as they crash against the rocks
I feel the wind on my face and feel the pain
Of feeling so empty from all the knocks
One day they say you will come but here
I am waiting and wishing still as I always do
I listen to my heart beats for you dear soul
I Close my eyes and feel the air against my face
My eyes closed and I imagine you here with me
Stepping close to the edge will it set me free?
But no I step back and smile and think to myself
'Give your self a little more time and wait and see',
So once again I wait for you here as I always do.
