“I shall be yours”
“Forever”
I was listening to attentively
And very much aptly

I thought
Iron is very hot
I must deliver the final blow
She has right to know

I held her hand
And assured as friend
I am not for the lust alone
But for firm alliance known

She was sinking
And not at all thinking
My words proved magical
After all she was very much human

I really liked her
And honestly offered
With full assurance
That life must be lived with chance
