Withdrawal… [ Sex; Aging; Love; Marriage; Short Poem ]

Rating: 3.8

"Amazing, Grace! ! "[ His once-turgid tool withdraws, depleted,
leaving short wet streaks on her thigh, ...his task completed.
Stretched out beside her, stark naked, his florid face beams. ]
"Yes, you're done, you 'Old Fool'. You've done your best it seems."

[ Grace rises from the bed and waddles to take a shower, ….
wondering why they're still up, past midnight, an ungodly hour. ]
"Happy Golden Anniversary! ", he calls after his ‘True Love', ….
[...and, into the drawer, his bottle of Viagra he does shove. ]

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
if i added up all the years i've been married (to four women, not concurrently!) , i'd still never reach a "golden anniversary" aka 50 year anniversary.
