Without You Poem by Elizabeth Preston

Without You

As the nights get colder I can still feel your presence
no one understands the pain that someone else is feeling
its an indescribable feeling of emptiness and lack of hope
wondering if your memories will remain ever so clear
or will they one day fade away just as like so many tears
your voice is what I miss the most, that settle laugh and
your bright glowing smile as you crinkle your nose
your touch your smell that everlasting glare in your stunning brown eyes the taste of your kisses the way you breathed at night as I watched you sleep so safe and peaceful
so many challenges to see past but with each passing day I manage to surprise myself and set aside the pain in my heart
the days are slowly getting better because I know one day I will see you again but until then live your life to the fullest and don't let my passing be a never ending burden for your so full of life I miss you as much as you miss me but I'll forever be watching over you like the leaves falling from a tree or the raining drops after a thunder storm I am your guardian and protector keeping you safe and just because you don't see me doesn't mean I am not with you every second of every day I will never leave your side and I will be here when our lord calls you home
