There was a woman I once knew
Who didn't see her beauty
She fostered love and gave to all
Believing it her duty
She wished for those around her
All the best things life could give
She asked so little for herself
Just crumbs to barely live
I hope for her that this life's best
Will circle her in light
Will give to her the love she seeks
Will save her from this plight
I pray that all her caring friends
Uniting in their love
Will bring to her an inner strength
With blessings from above
She needs to see she really is
Amazing above all
To truly know that power within
Will save her from this fall
That beauty comes into one's heart
And fills its inner lining
With peace, with goodness, lasting joy
And all that's worth defining
Dedicated To All Women Who Doubt
Their Beauty and Self-Worth
