Wonder Poem by Ruth Kamasungua

Wonder

With wonder the universe
Appeared and occupied
Its position
As soldiers standing erect
Armed to their teeth
At the voice of His command
The stars brightened up the
Universe
With their glow
And meteors roam the space
In all sizes and shapes
Taking precaution not to
Collide
While the sun splutters
Red glowing lava
And fire out of its endless mouth
Continuously
While Mercury travails under
Its tremendous heat,
Yet intact and wholesome
Continuing it's revolve
Faithfully
Mars, a red desert
Covered with sulfur
Whose heart is deduced to an
imaginary freezing
and compact ocean
But earth is a sunshine,
glowing with beauty and splendor
Sparkling with life and light
A wonder that prevails
Since creation
Saturn is a gigantic colorful
Gas of hydrogen and helium
A mystery
With its crown of flowing Meteors
all swimming harmoniously,
in the same direction
And Pluto is a gate keeper
Caked with ice and does not
See the Sun for warmth
Making us wonder and wonder
how they all came about to be
at the voice of His command!
