Would I Right? Poem by Vincent Cibelli

Would I Right?

Tomorrow if inspiration takes hold
I'll write these words for the world behold
Though few if any
At most not many
Will read or heed these words
But what would i write?
If you would listen
Already my mind hinders the thought
Should or would or may
I speak of the external, or temporal
The eternal or ephemeral
Of lust and woe
Fair fatal death
Would crimes of lust
Pour savagely and sweetly
From the blood of my my pen
'Blood! '
But it is i that determines
The use of my blood
Or abuse
Sad smile: strummed that personal chord
And the song strumming building
Strikes a sudden final hard note
It abruptly ends into silence or applause
