Writing On Sand Or Stone?

Writing on sand or stone?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Writing on sand or stone?

Life leaves it foot prints on the sands of time
Scripted on a sheet of trembling water
Network of white patterns left on sandy shore by a returning sea breaker
So goes on life and nature's transient yet continuous pantomime!

But some writings deserve to be etched on stone
Like Ten Commandments or Ashoka's tablets of scripted stone
Moses and Naguib while crossing a river
Pass through a turbulent zone.

When Naguib saved him, Moses got the event etched on a mountain rock
While returning they quarreled but some how reached the river bank
Moses got this event written on sand bed on the bank
Thus positive and enduring values have life and strength of a rock.

The temporary ones are just marks on the sand
To be wiped by the wind's hand!
This shows the variation of different life - time
But in the long run everything is erased, small and grand!

Thus we have variation and transience
Yet something is rock-firm and having endurance
Continuity and change, variation and unity
Brahman and Tao have both immanence and transcendence.
