This winter’s cold’s much more than we can bear;
Yet, Christ was born in freezing cold, they say!
In house comfortable, we live and fare;
There was no room in inn for Christ that day!
Yet, He was born as Immanuel today!
He brought both joy and peace to men on earth;
The Son of God for pillow had just hay!
In manger poor, babe Jesus had his birth!
God flashed the news to shepherds warming near;
They walked at once to see their new-born King;
What Magi told had filled Herod with fear,
As Star of Bethlehem showed way to Him.
The Savior King was born in poverty;
The Word got flesh in Mary’s womb this day;
It happened as per Scripture’s prophecy!
Christ came for sinners’ sake on Christmas Day!
