Yes, My Child Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Yes, My Child

Yes, My child
Saturday,28th March 2020

Yes, my child
I find
ray of hope
and find no gap

I nurtured
with my milk and blood
day and night I looked after
and loved you so much dear

I dreamed high
and felt right
that one day
you shall help me all the way

it is not expected in return
for the service shown
but for the safe refuge
when i turn to an old age

don't turn your back
and show fake kindness
it shall ruin my sentiments
when it shall prove me wrong at that moment

you shall miss your childhood
and not find it even in neighborhood
it is for your good
if remember that my blood flows in your veins

A mother nurtures her child with deep love and affection. An amazing poem is very brilliantly penned.

Very emotional write. We have no option but to depend on our children during old age. Loved reading it.
