Yesterday
I felt the sun
It warmed my face
My life was fun
Yesterday
My thoughts were free
And all the world
Belonged to me
Yesterday
Your love was mine
And everything
Was so divine
Yesterday
The words were true
My heart belonged
To only you
But.......................
That was yesterday.

There is great warmth in this wistful piece about once upon a time. Warmth and musicality. Yet you've managed to let the reader know you're OK - and that's quite an art. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Linda... heartfelt and indeed felt. However, tomorrow is another day. t x

With many a Tomorrow, for a gal like you, Midnight...Excellent write, young lassie! When we were in high school, most of us were taught that ''there are no tomorrows...make it happen today & don't look back...don't ever look back''. And, that may have been good advice for studies, projects & even sounder advice for our business endeavors....But, in affairs of the Heart...and like the Heart....one must sometimes slow the pace of Today, due to irratic rhythm patterns that may have presented themselves during a many yesterdays....And we then must have Tomorrow to look forward to & to embrace...For the bottom line is, that on affairs of the Heart...we WILL look back...we WILL ALWAYS look back because thats what love makes us do.Great Piece, Midnight! ~ FjR ~
