Yin Poem by Galina Italyanskaya

Yin

Rating: 4.5

Time is running around the dial
How mysterious are His ways
Is it punishment or a trial?
She agrees
She never obeys

Ice and fire, discouraging haze
Turning black into white and back
All looks clearer in a blaze
Of one's suffering
But the dark

She is stranger than God by a mile
Now is bleak and tomorrow's hidden
Yet she walks with a happy smile
As though it is not Hell but Eden

Did the poet portrait Yin as a determined heart, or one revolving against routine (fate) ? What ever it may be, it is an inspirational poem. Very nice of you to share.

This a remarkable poem about a remarkable woman. You make her special quality clear in the last lines: her ability to maneuver through a hellish earth as if it were a paradise is amazing. It seems to take no more than her determination to see things positively, as Edenic, as her HAPPY SMILE SHOWS, But this is only one example of her ability to change reality, TURNING BLACK TO WHITE AND BACK. But the next lines show there are limits to her pursuit of happiness, because ALL LOOKS CLEARER IN THE BLAZE OF ONE'S SUFFERING. That is a magnificent line celebrating her endurance as a model for us all and her determined effort to find joy in a world governed by relentless time, in which there simply may not be enough time. Her courage is an inspiration! (Do I detect some of Galina's strength in this character's personality. Y-E-S.)
