You Do Not See Me Poem by Saniya Galeyeva

You Do Not See Me

You do not see me at all.
I am only your whim and doll,
Not a person who is your right match,
But your personal toy which you'll snatch.

You're a male, my master and slave.
You possess me and you do depend
On my skin, on my lips and my arms.
We are not a good match, we are halves.

And your body is longing for mine.
That's why I have no choice but be thine.
But why don't you see that I am
An alive human too, not the Lamb?

You do not see me in the least.
Though you look at me, there's a mist
On your eyes. For you I'm a thing.
You don't want to know the real me.
