You always found filth in all I uttered
Shattered everything I touched
And shut every door that opened before me
Taught me heaven is beyond my reach
And silly me took your teachings to heart
oh I took everything you preached
Because you were everything to me
You knew you had my heart
And I let you to it
You knew how to make me smile
But I guess you enjoyed seeing me cry
Sometimes I wonder if you have a heart
If you are human
Time and time you'd let me fall
& secretly rejoice in my misery
And I'd let you to it
What was I to do?
You had my heart and you knew it
You knew me and I thought I knew you
You had love and you blew it
You'll never find love
Because you are not a fool enough
To fall in love
A beautiful poem and a perfect explanation about the pain we feel when we are hurt or betrayed by someone we trust alot.. Great write.. Keep sharing..

You always found filth in all I uttered Shattered everything I touched And shut every door that opened before me Taught me heaven is beyond my reach And silly me took your teachings to heart oh I took everything you preached Because you were everything to me Sometimes, we are so blinded by love and trust that we begin to believe that what the other person says is the absolute truth. Only when we begin to move away, we begin to realise our folly. Kagiso, you have very beautifully projected the feelings and emotions of a confidante through simple yet eloquent words. Loved reading this poem.
