You Make My Heart Sing! (For Mademoiselle Zoro) Poem by Dónall Dempsey

You Make My Heart Sing! (For Mademoiselle Zoro)

Rating: 5.0

Proper little vixen!

We name her Mademoiselle Zoro

‘cos she’s so...daring

robbing
our suburban bin

setting it a clatter
in a ca-ca-cacophony of...

startled
as the houselights come suddenly on

she freezes...to the spot

half real half shadow

laughs at our oh so
tame humanness

singing to her as we always do:

“Wild thing...you make my heart sing! ”

“Humans! ”
(you can hear her thinking)
“...daft as brushes....the naked two of them...”

deftly she
gives herself

back to the darkness
knowing she has

tamed us.

There you go again - - dancing naked in the moonlight, so even the vixens think you're nutso! Loved this one!
